About Edible Schoolyard NYC
We’re Edible Schoolyard NYC, a nonprofit organization on a mission to make edible education accessible for every child in NYC. We believe edible education—where children experience hands-on cooking and gardening—helps them gain the skills to contribute to a healthy and sustainable food system for us all.
Team Edible Schoolyard NYC
As a member of Team Edible Schoolyard NYC, you will commit to raising a minimum of $3,500 in support of our programs. We will provide you with tools and support to make your fundraising a success. As part of the team you will get:

- Opportunity to contribute to an important mission
- Opportunity to visit an ESYNYC garden
- Branded gear
Team Selection
We have a limited number of spots available. We review applications on a rolling basis with a strong preference for runners who are personally connected to our mission and excited to raise funds for ESYNYC.
We will take into consideration runners who are eager to go above and beyond our fundraising minimum.

About the Race
The TCS New York City Marathon—the best day of the year, in the best city in the world—is one of the most inclusive and accessible sporting events in the world, with a record-breaking number of athletes running the same course on the same day, from the first to the final finisher. This is the second consecutive year the TCS New York City Marathon has broken the world record for the largest marathon.
